Handling an Appeal

We file the required notice of appeal in a timely way. It is important that an individual or corporation thinking about appealing a lower court decision take action quickly as there are time limits on when an appeal can be filed. We make sure that the required transcript and other documents are filed correctly. We research the legal points at issue in the appeal, and we draft well written persuasive argument briefs aggressively presenting our client’s positions. Our well written briefs combined with our attorneys outstanding oral arguments provide our clients with their best chance of being successful.

Identifying The Right Issue For a Successful Appeal

The purpose of an appeal is to determine issues of law, rather than matters of fact. We are able to identify the best legal issue on which to appeal, whether it is inappropriate instruction to the jury or mistakes in the application of relevant law.
